Privacy policy

Last updated 29 September 2026

This policy explains how Pragmaticians Pty Ltd (ABN 18 666 591 831), “we”, handles personal information. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

We collect personal information you give us directly: when you use our contact form, email or call us, or work with us as a client or supplier. This is usually your name, email address, phone number, employer and role, and the content of your messages. We don’t ask for sensitive information and prefer you don’t send it.

When you visit this website, our host keeps standard server logs, which include your IP address, browser type and the pages you view, for security and troubleshooting. This site doesn’t use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Its fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when you view a page.

Why we collect it

We use your information to respond to enquiries, provide and invoice our services, manage our business relationships and meet our legal obligations. If you don’t give us the details we need, we may not be able to respond or provide our services.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers who help us run our business, such as our website host, email and document providers, and accounting software, and with professional advisers or authorities where the law requires. Some of these providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to make sure they protect your information.

We don’t sell or rent personal information, and we don’t use it for marketing without your consent. Any marketing email we send will include a way to unsubscribe.

Automated decisions

We don’t use computer programs to make decisions about you that could significantly affect your rights or interests using your personal information. If that changes, we’ll update this policy to explain how.

Security and retention

We protect personal information with access controls, secure providers and multi-factor authentication where available. We keep it only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law, then delete or de-identify it. If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we’ll notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or complain about how we’ve handled it, by contacting our privacy contact below. We’ll respond within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the OAIC at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
